[San Diego, CA] Kiana Taylor and Casey Diane Hargis Killed in Fiery Crash
TWO WOMEN KILLED IN ACCIDENT ON EL CAJON BLVD
San Diego, CA (September 10, 2020) – A tragic accident leaves Kiana Taylor age-22, and passenger Casey Diane Hargis, also age-22, were found dead around 9:10 P.M.
According to officer John Buttle of the San Diego Police, a 63-year-old man was driving a 2016 Mercedes E400.
Suddenly, the individual suffered a medical problem. This caused him to run a red light. The light was located at the intersection of El Cajon Boulevard and 70th Street.
Afterwards, this caused a five-vehicle collision “pile-up”. The impact sent six different people to the emergency room.
First, the impact pushed two different vehicles into the westbound lanes. Then, three other vehicles were struck — a Nissan Rogue SUV, a Honda Civic, and a BMW.
As a result of the crash, one of the first cars hit, a Ford, caught on fire.
Moreover, Officer Buttle stated that Ms. Taylor and her passenger, Ms. Hargis, both age 22 suffered from second- and third-degree burns.
First responders immediately rushed the two burn victims to a local hospital for treatment.
Subsequently, the injuries covered about 70 percent of their bodies. The two women also suffered from uncontrolled internal bleeding.
Succumbing to her injuries, Medics at UCSD Medical Center pronounced Casey Hargis dead, early morning on Thursday.
Afterward, the next day on September 11th, officials announced the death of Kiana Taylor.
The driver of the Mercedes was rushed to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Also, Officer Buttle added that first responders also rushed the Nissan driver, age 20, the BMW driver, and the Honda driver, age 20 to local hospitals for treatment of minor injuries as well.
