John Spata Killed in El Monte Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident on Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road
Wednesday, February 22, 2021 – John Spata, age 56, was killed on Saturday night at around 7:00 P.M. Moreover, the man from Temple City died in a motorcycle wreck that happened on Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road.
According to El Monte Police Lt. Peter Rasic, the incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred at the intersection of Peck Road and Lower Azusa Road.
Later, police reports showed that a black 4-door Toyota Tacoma with chrome bumpers was the vehicle involved. Subsequently, it made a left turn and hit Mr. Spata’s motorcycle.
After the accident, witnesses quickly came to the aid of the motorcyclist. Furthermore, they helped out even before paramedics arrived.
Upon arrival, emergency workers quickly took the victim to a nearby hospital. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead shortly after.
So far, investigating officers have released no further details in regards to the El Monte hit and run accident.
