Devonte Tyler Passes Away After Accident on Avenue J-8
November 27, 2020 – Devonte Tyler, age 27, was killed on Sunday evening around 9:45 P.M. Moreover, the homeless man was struck and killed by a vehicle on Avenue J-8.
Initially, a woman was traveling in a mid-size sedan southbound on Sierra Highway. Then, Mr. Tyler entered the roadway at Avenue J-8.
As a result, the woman stuck with Mr. Tyler on accident. In addition, the driver stopped at the scene and immediately called 911.
Afterward, the Los Angeles County Fire Department immediately arrived at the scene. Sadly, although life-saving efforts were made, they were unsuccessful. Unfortunately, Mr. Tyler was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:50 P.M.
Later, investigating officials continued to investigate the reason for the accident. Still, they were able to confirm that alcohol or drugs were not a contributing factor in this case.

When a homeless person is involved in a car accident
Accidents are bad to begin with, but what happens in a car accident that involves a homeless person?
An accident involving a homeless person can be more complex than other kinds of injury-related accidents.
The victim could be without living relatives, might not have any personal identification. Furthermore, they may have untreated mental or physical illness.
If the accident injured a homeless person, then help that individual get the medical attention he or she needs by calling 911.
Probably the most important thing you can do is get the victim’s name if you can. Local law enforcement will try to find out the victim’s identity first.
The coroner or medical examiner will lead the investigation if the accident is fatal.

Get a copy of that police report and identify any witnesses
