Monday, February 1, 2021 – Anthony Taylor, age 40, was killed on Monday evening at around 11:00 P.M. Moreover, he died in a car accident that happened on 55th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
Initially, officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at on 55th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
According to reports, a woman was driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty north on Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Next, she turned left to go down 55th Street. Then, a 2001 Toyota Camry that was speeding southbound struck her Jeep.
Furthermore, the driver of the Toyota, Anthony Taylor, lost control of his vehicle. As a result, he drove south until he crashed into a pillar in the 5400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
Unfortunately, emergency workers who arrived at the scene declared Mr. Taylor dead on arrival. Currently, the authorities still have not released information on whether the female driver was injured or not.
Additionally, there is no confirmation whether impairment was a factor as well.
