[Boyle Heights, CA] – Ashley Rodriguez and Bryan Ponce Die in Rollover Accident on 5 Freeway
Ashley Rodriguez and Bryan Ponce Killed in Fatal Boyle Heights Rollover Crash
November 26, 2020 – Ashley Rodriguez and Bryan Ponce, both 18 years old, lost their lives last Friday evening around 8:00 P.M. Moreover, the woman from L.A. and the man from Highland Park died in a rollover crash on the 5 Freeway.
Initially, a Honda Accord traveling northbound on the 5 Freeway drifted off-road. As a result, the car went up the embankment south of the freeway and flipped over.
Young Mr. Ponce was driving the vehicle while Ms. Rodriguez was the front seat passenger. Unfortunately, they were not wearing their seatbelts and were both thrown from the vehicle. Also, they were thrown into the No. 1 lane of the Santa Monica Freeway.
Sadly, responding to emergency workers pronounced both young people dead upon arrival.
Afterward, the response team transported the 3rd teenager who was in the back seat of the vehicle to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
